Telespond Family Care Services
provides an opportunity for people suffering
from Alzheimer’s disease
or a related disorder to participate
in a program of group activities in a warm and welcoming
environment while the family members who care for them have
some relief from their caregiving responsibilities.
Telespond joins a network of programs in more than 200
communities in 34 states, which were begun with grants from
The Brookdale Foundation Group of New York City.
Telespond is the first and only Pennsylvania based organization
to receive a group respite program grant from this Foundation.
Rich Cresiski,
Telespond’s Executive Director, states,
“Our program in the Abingtons is open
every Monday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming people afflicted with memory loss,
Alzheimer’s disease or related illnesses so they can participate
in this group activity and social program.”
